The New York Giants don’t seem to be fully committed to Daniel Jones.
Of course, they claim to be, but the sole fact that they even considered trading up to get either Drake Maye or Jayden Daniels speaks volumes about their thoughts on him.
The fan base doesn’t seem to be all-in on him, either, and it’s reached a point in which they’re running out of excuses or reasons to even defend him.
And while that’s not all on him, former Giants great Tiki Barber still understands why this is happening.
Talking on SNY, the former Giants star stated that all NFL players should have established themselves by year three.
He acknowledges that it hasn’t all been his fault and that he’s had to deal with injuries, a bad offensive line, different head coaches and offensive coordinators, and poor schemes, but regardless of the reasons, the fans are just getting tired of waiting for him to be the man (via Doug Rush).
Tiki Barber made a lot of great points here with Daniel Jones and the Giants fan base here.
This is actually pretty spot on. And it’s a really fair assessment too.pic.twitter.com/om36LBnnwV

That’s a fair point.
At the end of the day, the fan wants to watch a good product and know for sure that their team is going to succeed, and they haven’t seen that with Jones under center.
It doesn’t matter if it’s his fault or not; the fact of the matter is that they’re not good enough.
Barber claimed that if there’s even an ounce of doubt, then it means you’re not established
And if Jones doesn’t do so this season, he might not do it at all.
