Star wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk and the San Francisco 49ers have been the talk of the town as he has been looking to sign a major contract this offseason.
But as of right now, it feels as though he could end up signing it elsewhere as teams such as the Cleveland Browns and New England Patriots are interested in trading for him.
However, neither of those places are his preferred destination.
According to NBC Sports’s Matt Maiocco, Pittsburgh has been a preferred destination for the 1,000-yard wide receiver.
“The Steelers were not willing to meet 49ers trade demand yesterday. Pittsburgh has been a preferred destination for Aiyuk,” Maiocco recently reported on social media.

Now, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Steelers and 49ers have re-engaged in conversations regarding Aiyuk a day after they previously stalled on Pittsburgh’s end.
If the Pittsburgh Steelers are interested in acquiring Aiyuk, they have San Francisco’s attention.
However, it is going to have to come down to what they would be willing to give up in order to get him, in addition to agreeing to pay him what he wants.
If a deal was to be struck between both teams, Pittsburgh could then pair Aiyuk with another 1,000-yard receiver in George Pickens.
Their offense could really be cooking then.
For the 49ers, depending on who or what they would get in return in this scenario, their Super Bowl window may still be open.
It is going to be fascinating to see whether or not the two teams can put a potential trade over the top.
