The Cleveland Browns seemingly have all their pieces in place now.
They’ve agreed to restructure Amari Cooper’s contract, and they traded for Jerry Jeudy before giving him a remarkable contract extension.
David Njoku is also expected to have a big role in the passing game, and second-year pro Cedric Tillman could also get more touches, particularly if Elijah Moore doesn’t show signs of improvement.
Nonetheless, now that he might be available, there are reports about the Browns looking to get Brandon Aiyuk.
And as promising as that may sound to some fans, Browns insider Tony Grossi just doesn’t get it.
Grossi took to Twitter to claim that he would rather have Amari Cooper on the team in 2024 than Aiyuk, adding that he just doesn’t get the infatuation with him.

It might not have to be one or the other, depending on what the Browns would have to give for Aiyuk.
Cooper has been their best offensive player for the past couple of years, and he’s earned the right to be there.
The Browns are trying to put Deshaun Watson in the best possible position to finally succeed there, and that means giving him as many weapons as they possibly can.
So, if the Browns find a way to both trade for Aiyuk and hold on to Cooper, they should, by all means, just go for it.
