Heading into the NFL playoffs last year, the Buffalo Bills were firing on all cylinders and looked like a team that could go the distance if they could finally get over the hump and beat Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs in the postseason.
Unfortunately for the Bills, the Chiefs once again proved to be too much to handle in the playoffs, leading to another early exit and many questions as to whether this Buffalo team, led by superstar quarterback Josh Allen, would ever get to the Super Bowl.
Ironically enough, after another disappointing showing in the playoffs, the Bills made a move that many believed would happen eventually, with the team trading superstar wide receiver Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans.
Along with moving on from Diggs and all the off-the-field drama he brought to Buffalo, the team also let Gabe Davis walk in NFL free agency, which seemed devastating for the passing game and Allen’s targets downfield.
With the Bills’ many questionable moves, many are anticipating Buffalo taking a step back during the upcoming 2024 NFL season, but Allen doesn’t view his team as underdogs moving forward, as he told Kay Adams on Up & Adams.
“If you are asking from a media perspective, sure,” Allen said. “From inside this group, no. It’s business as usual. We’re working hard.”

Although Allen seems to have chosen the safe answer here, there’s no telling what the Bills’ offense will look like now that their two best receivers will be suiting up elsewhere in the NFL.
The team was able to bring in promising rookie wide receiver Keon Coleman, but it remains to be seen if this passing attack will be the same as it was and if the Bills will remain a force to be reckoned with in the AFC moving forward.
