After having high expectations coming into the 2023 NFL season, disaster struck for the Cleveland Browns as the team’s two best offensive players went down with season-ending injuries.
Superstar running back Nick Chubb suffered a severe knee injury after playing in only two games for the Browns, while star quarterback Deshaun Watson was only able to play in six games before his season officially came to an end due to an injury.
It seemed like doom and gloom in Cleveland after losing their two best offensive weapons, but somehow, this team was able to endure and push forward, as the defensive stepped up with Myles Garrett leading the way and veteran Joe Flacco was eventually able to shoulder the load under center.
The Browns were still able to make the NFL playoffs last season and seemed to have a shot of making a deep run in the postseason, but the upstart Houston Texans, led by rookie phenom CJ Stroud, proved to be too much to handle in the first round resulting in an early exit for Cleveland.
Fortunately for the Browns, Watson is back to full strength and is ready to get back to work, and is already showing some promise connecting with veteran newcomer Jerry Jeudy on this deep ball in practice on Sunday via Camryn Justice of News 5 Cleveland.

Although Chubb is still on the mend from the devastating knee injury he suffered last season, the team does get a boost offensively with the addition of Jeudy to the receiving corps, as he and Amari Cooper could become a solid one-two punch downfield.
It’ll be interesting to see if Jeudy makes a big difference for the passing game and if the Browns offense becomes a force to be reckoned with during the 2024 campaign with a healthy Watson under center.
