As expected, given their plethora of NBA talent, Team USA had little to no trouble moving on and past the group stage in the Olympics.

They’ve been the best team in the competition thus far, putting on a show in all three games and living up to the expectations.

They’re about to face Brazil in the quarter-finals and, once again, will be heavily favored ahead of that matchup.

With that in mind, and thinking about a potential square-off in the near future, Canada star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was asked to share his thoughts on Team USA.

When asked about that, the Oklahoma City Thunder guard praised Team USA for being deep, talented, and playing to their strengths.

Nonetheless, he also claimed that he likes Canada’s chances against anybody, adding that they’ll be ready regardless of who they have to face (via ClutchPoints).

Canada has also won all of its games thus far, and they’ll now have a tough task ahead of them by squaring off against Victor Wembanyama and France in the quarter-finals.

The Olympics haven’t disappointed the fans and have given us some elite basketball matchups thus far, and with the Canadians looking to get over the hump once and for all, they’ll be extra motivated to get past the French side in that matchup.

Team USA is the odds-on favorite to win the gold medal for a reason, but we’ve seen teams that were supposed to dominate on paper crumble under pressure multiple times in the past as well.
