Khaman Maluach was born in September 2006. He spent his early age in Uganda, where he lived as a refugee with his family. He went to Bwejjaba for studies and was admitted to Bethel Covenant College.

BAL debut
The NBA Academy program gave Khaman insane benefits. Khaman was assigned to the BAL season as an amateur player through this program. Malauch joined the South Sudanese basketball team Cobra Sports in the 2022 BAL Season. Khaman made his BAL debut against defending champions Zamalek. In his debut match, Khaman also recorded two rebounds in 7 minutes and two points.
Khaman played the 2nd season of BAL, where defending champions AS Douanes assigned him as a promising young talent. Khaman Malauch reached the final of the BAL 2023 season with AS Douanes. He started and contributed 4 rebounds and 2 points in the finals of the 2023 BAL season unfortunately, AS Douanes lost the final against AL Ahly.
International debut and career
After performing excellently in the BAL 2023 season, Khaman was selected for the South Sudan International Basketball team for the 2023 FIBA World Cup. Khaman made his World Cup debut against China on 28th August. Khaman became the third youngest player to appear in a World Cup game. South Sudan became the best-ranked team in the 2024 FIBA World Cup rankings. Therefore, they reached the Paris Olympics 2024.

Khaman is an excellent prospect for South Sudan in future. He is just 16 years old and still making a huge difference with his superb performance.
