Netherlands-based GoodLife Foods has acquired frozen food products peer Pure Ingredients.
Both businesses are engaged in the branded and private-label food segments across European markets. Financials terms were not disclosed in a joint statement.
Headquartered in Nettetal-Kaldenkirchen, Germany, Pure Ingredients supplies halal frozen snacks and side dishes. Its branded line-up includes Lekker & Anders, Mekkafood and Herrenhof.
Pure Ingredients serves the retail and foodservice channels, including ethnic food stores in the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium.
It operates three production plants – two in the Netherlands and another in Germany employing more than 200 staff.
Dirk Van de Walle, the CEO of GoodLife Foods, said: “The acquisition of this leading company in halal frozen products, together with the recently announced acquisition of Audens Food Group in Spain and Portugal, gives us every opportunity to exploit the full potential in all our markets with great products and great teams to realise our growth plan for the coming years.”

Wout van Eeuwijk, the owner of Pure Ingredients, will remain with the business.

GoodLife Foods produces frozen savoury food products. Headquartered in Breda, the business has six manufacturing plants – four in the Netherlands and one each in Belgium and Denmark.
The recent acquisition of Audens Foods, a snacks and frozen precooked meals business, has provided GoodLife Foods with a further five plants – four in Spain and one in Belgium.
