Legendary head coach Jim Harbaugh is without a doubt one of the best in the business, both on the college and professional level, as he’s had success on both levels for several different teams.
Although Harbaugh is one of the best head coaches around and is starting fresh in the NFL with the Los Angeles Chargers, the 60-year-old has his moments when a microphone is in front of him, whether it be funny, awkward or just plain confusing.
No one questions Harbaugh’s coaching ability as he has the track record to prove that he’s more than capable of being among the elite class of coaches, but he does say some questionable things at times, which has some people shaking their heads, especially those that cover the Chargers beat right now after his most recent press conference in training camp.
According to Alex Insdorf of Bolt Beat, Harbaugh made some strange and conflicting comments during this press conference, which left the media confused and understandably so.
Full clip of Jim Harbaugh’s #Chargers injury updates:
-doesn’t clarify on Rashawn Slater’s injury, says he was held out with “abundance of caution”.
-says Gus Edwards did not have offseason surgery after previously saying he did

The Los Angeles media should get used to these kinds of statements from Harbaugh as he does make some ill-advised comments on a regular basis, which has become part of what comes with having him as a team’s head coach.
Harbaugh may be a huge upgrade as the Chargers’ head coach in comparison to the recently fired Brandon Staley, but he definitely lacks clarity, especially when addressing the status of his players, as more questions came out of this press conference than answers.
