Earlier this week, the Green Bay Packers decided to reward superstar quarterback Jordan Love for taking over for four-time NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers and becoming the new face of the franchise while leading the team back to the NFL playoffs last season and an incredible win over the Dallas Cowboys.

Although Love was a starter for only one full season, the Packers brass had seen enough to determine that he was the real deal and worthy of being one of the highest-paid players in the NFL.

In fact, Love didn’t just put his name in the same conversation of the best of the best at his position in the league; he is now the highest-paid player in the league after signing a four-year, $220 million deal with Green Bay, with $155 million guaranteed and a $75 million signing bonus.

With Love now a very wealthy man and a bright future ahead in Green Bay, Rodgers wants his former teammate to buy his house in Wisconsin with all the money he’s secured for the next four years, which the young quarterback responded to via the NFL’s Twitter account.

“ARod, I won’t be buying your house, man,” Love said. “But I’ll go check on it and make sure it is well taken care of.”

Ironically enough, it isn’t beyond the realm of possibility that these former teammates could go head-to-head in the Super Bowl in February.

The Jets will try to bounce back from a disappointing 2023 campaign, while the Packers will try to take another step forward after a brilliant year last season.
