There is an interesting situation taking place in Baltimore with MVP quarterback Lamar Jackson.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Jackson remains sidelined from practice with an illness.
“‘He continues to undergo further evaluation and receive care from our medical team,’ per the team,” Schefter recently posted on social media.

This a significant situation because Jackson has been held out of practice numerous times due to illness over this offseason and his career.
Fans on social media have certainly voiced their opinion on Jackson being sick for an extended period of time.
This guy has the immune system of a caveman

Ravens need to sign Cam as a backup

The good news for the Ravens is that it is only July, and Jackson also doesn’t need to prove anything in training camp and the preseason.
But when the best player on the team isn’t practicing, that hurts the offense.
There is less comfortability and consistency in both the passing game and the running game, especially when it comes to Jackson.
Behind the former Heisman winner on the depth chart sits long-time backup Josh Johnson, who has played for 14 different NFL teams and has had stints in both the XFL and the UFL.
Other than Johnson, rookies Devin Leary and Emory Jones are the other quarterbacks who are currently under contract with the team.
If Jackson were to fall ill during the regular season, perhaps the team might want to consider bringing in another dual-threat quarterback such as Cam Newton or Ryan Tannehill.
Both are currently free agents.
For now, the Ravens will deal with this internally and try to help Jackson get back onto the field as soon as possible.
