The Charlotte Hornets just fought through another very difficult season, ending as the 13th team in the Eastern Conference with a 21-61 record.
They were far from great, even though they have several promising young stars on the roster.
2023-24 was tough but 2024-25 will be much better, according to Brandon Miller.
Speaking with Michael Scotto, per Legion Hoops, Miller said, “I think we’re going to be a playoff team.”
What are the chances that the Hornets rebound in such a huge way in the upcoming season?

In some ways, reaching the playoffs doesn’t seem too hard.
They were just three spots away from being part of the Play-In Tournament, after all.
But the difference between the 10th seed and the 13th seed was immense.
The 10th-seed Atlanta Hawks had a 36-46 record, meaning they scored 15 more wins than Charlotte.
In other words, the Hornets will need to make major improvements if they wish to be in contention for the postseason.
Of course, things could be very different in the new season.
For starters, LaMelo Ball will hopefully be back and able to play the entire year without suffering a big injury.
Secondly, they have a new head coach, who could inject much-needed direction and energy.
With stars like Miller, Seth Curry, Miles Bridges, Grant Williams, and others, they could make a name for themselves as underdogs in the East.
But it’s important to remember that the rest of that conference will be getting much better too.
Miller has high hopes for his team and thinks they will reach the playoffs for the first time in years but it definitely won’t be an easy path to the postseason.
