Former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley has been invited to speak at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee next week, according to two sources familiar with the decision, who said details had not yet been finalized.

The Republican National Committee, the Trump campaign and Haley’s team did not immediately return a request for comment.

The invitation appears to have come within the past few days.

On Tuesday, Haley, who also served as ambassador to the United Nations under Trump before challenging him for the Republican nomination, released her 97 delegates so that they could support the former president at the convention.

Chaney Denton, a longtime senior aide to Haley told NBC News at the time that she “was not invited” to the convention and that “she’s fine with that.”

“Trump deserves the convention he wants,” Denton said. “She’s made it clear she’s voting for him and wishes him the best.”

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, another one of Trump’s primary opponents who frequently clashed with the former president, is scheduled to speak at the convention.
