Team USA basketball will be taking a very talented roster full of NBA stars and superstars to Paris for the 2024 Summer Olympics, and once there, it will be looking to win the gold medal.

It failed to even win a bronze medal in last year’s FIBA World Cup, which led several of the players on this year’s team to commit to heading to this year’s summer games.

One of the headline-making players on Team USA is Anthony Edwards, and not only is he one of the better players in the NBA, but he’s one of the more athletically gifted ones around, not to mention one of the most confident.

Edwards has said he will be the No. 1 offensive option on the squad this summer, and Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown seemed to agree with that on a social media post, per ClutchPoints.

Some would say Brown was snubbed earlier this week when Kawhi Leonard withdrew from USA Basketball and was replaced by Brown’s teammate Derrick White.

But Brown does have something Edwards likely wants badly: an NBA championship.

In Team USA’s first exhibition game on Wednesday, Edwards led the team in scoring with 13 points as it defeated Canada 86-72.

Thanks to men such as Edwards, Joel Embiid, Stephen Curry, LeBron James and Anthony Davis, many feel this iteration of Team USA is one of the most talented ever — in fact, some say it rivals the talent it had in 1992 when the Dream Team dominated its way to the gold medal in Barcelona.
