Henri Jokiharju is staying the Buffalo.
The Sabres announced Friday that they have re-signed the 25-year-old defenceman to a one-year contract worth $3.1 million.
Jokiharju has played the last five seasons with the Sabres, skating in 309 games, scoring 16 goals and racking up 75 total points.
In 2023-24, the Oulu, Finland native played in a career-best 74 games, notching three goals and 20 points while registering a plus-14 rating. He also blocked 106 shots and laid 92 hits.
Jokiharju arrived in Buffalo in the summer of 2019 as part of a trade that sent Alexander Nylander to the Chicago Blackhawks.
He was originally a first-round pick, 29th overall, of Chicago in the 2017 draft and debuted with the Blackhawks in the 2018-19 season before the trade.
