“President Biden will sit for a high-profile interview and court voters in a key battleground state Friday as his campaign ramps up advertising at a crucial stretch aimed at turning back a tide of doubts about his candidacy,” the Wall Street Journal reports.
“Biden is traveling to Madison, Wis., a liberal enclave in one of the nation’s swing states, for a campaign event. There, he will be interviewed by ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos in an encounter that will be closely watched. The recorded interview will air in full on Friday night.”
New York Times: “ABC has pledged to air the interview in full and without edits, meaning that any attempt by a Biden aide to cut off the conversation early would be captured by cameras and likely shown to viewers.”
Dan Balz: Biden has to show stamina and sharpness. Democrats are growing impatient.
