The NBA offseason is just getting fully underway, and that means players will not only start training for next season but also do various other things to take their minds off their current situation.
Some players are holding or will hold basketball camps for kids in order to pay it forward to the next generation.
Donovan Mitchell of the Cleveland Cavaliers is one of those players, and during a session, the Atlanta Hawks’ Trae Young showed up, per NBACentral.

Mitchell has been one of the NBA’s more electrifying players over the last few years, and when he was traded by the Utah Jazz to the Cavs two summers ago, he single-handedly took the Cavs from a play-in tournament team to a legitimate playoff squad.
Last season, Cleveland made the playoffs for the first time since 2018, and this year, they won their first playoff series since 2018.
They were looking like one of the brightest young teams in basketball, but after their second-round playoff loss to the Boston Celtics, their future instantly became murky.
There has been speculation that Mitchell, who can opt out of his contract and become a free agent next summer, wants out, although some reports have indicated he will at least be open to signing a long-term extension to stay put.
There are also concerns that big man Evan Mobley, the No. 3 pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, may not become the bona fide star everyone felt he could become when he entered the league.
But at least for now, Mitchell will be able to enjoy his summer and be of service to others.
