No sooner than the final selection of the 2024 NBA draft was made did the analysis of how teams fared start pouring in.
Experts raced each other to determine whose fortunes were vastly improved by their choices during the two-night event, and there obviously was a wide array of judgments.
For a notable analyst who also had quite a career in the league, one club emerged victorious from the festivities.
Former NBA star Draymond Green told The Volume that the Minnesota Timberwolves won this week’s NBA draft and then explained why.
“There’s gonna be some teams that’s gonna regret passing Rob Dillingham”

Green revealed, “The reason the Minnesota Timberwolves won the draft is because they drafted their point guard of the future in Rob Dillingham, who I think is a very special player.
The former star believes that some teams near the top of the draft were afraid of Dillingham for the unjustifiable reason that they wondered if his game would fit into their systems.
The smarter move that the Timberwolves made, according to Green, was to get a scorer and then work to determine how to adjust their system to maximize his skills.
In limited minutes with the Kentucky Wildcats last season, Dillingham averaged 15.2 points per game and proved himself a deadly threat from downtown.
Minnesota was so convinced of his talent that the team traded up from No. 27 to the eight slot with the Spurs to grab him off the board.
Likely a role player off the bench to begin his career with the Timberwolves, Dillingham may well become a cornerstone of the franchise.
