One of the biggest question marks heading into the NBA offseason regarding the immediate future of a superstar player is what will happen with veteran forward Paul George.
Even though the Los Angeles Clippers had no problem coming to terms with the often-injured Kawhi Leonard on a contract extension, the same can’t be said for George, who doesn’t seem to be seeing eye-to-eye with the team’s brass at this point regarding a contract extension.
Although George has also had his problems with injuries during his stint with the Clippers, he’s been more reliable and productive than Leonard, which makes this situation a little confusing as it would make sense to secure George’s future rather than Leonard’s.
With George potentially leaving the Clippers this summer, many have started to speculate on where he should land before the 2024-25 campaign, with the Golden State Warriors emerging as a possibility if Klay Thompson takes his talents elsewhere this summer.
According to New Orleans Pelicans veteran guard CJ McCollum, George’s best-case scenario is landing in the Bay Area with Stephen Curry and Draymond Green via NBA on ESPN.

Although Curry and Green aren’t getting any younger and the Warriors aren’t the same dominant force they once were, the addition of George could revitalize this team in San Francisco, giving the storied franchise a much-needed boost.
The competition in the Western Conference gets tougher every year, but the Warriors might be able to make some noise if they can somehow land George if Thompson chooses to sign elsewhere this summer, which seems highly likely.
