Bridgerton’s Nicola Coughlan Reacts to Claim Steamy Polin Scenes Were Deleted From Season 3
While Lord Debling found himself drawn to Penelope Featherington during Bridgerton season three, actor Sam Phillips had his eye on a different Featherington sister.
The Crown alum and Bessie Carter, who plays the older sister of Penelope’s older sister Prudence, confirmed their romance during a cozy outing in Sussex, U.K.
The pair stepped out for a morning stroll June 22, during which Bessie planted a few kisses on Sam’s shoulder. Unlike their high-society characters on the Netflix show, the couple opted for a casual look for their day out. Bessie, 30, wore a black sweatshirt, gray leggings and sneakers, while her other half donned an orange T-shirt, black sweatpants and sneakers. He topped off the look with a blue baseball cap.
While neither had addressed their relationship in the past, they have previously joined Bessie’s parents Imelda Staunton and Jim Carter, on the red carpet. In December, the pair attended The Crown‘s season six finale celebration—Imelda played Queen Elizabeth II in the show’s final two seasons while Sam played an Equerry in seasons three and four—with Jim in London.
