With the 2023-24 NBA season already in the books, it only makes sense that all teams around the league are already planning ahead for the future.

Everybody in the game will now be aiming at the Boston Celtics and their throne.

And while it won’t be easy, some teams have a big chance to challenge them.

With that in mind, NBA analyst Tim Legler put together his list of the top five teams with the most at stake this offseason (via Get Up).

At No. 5, he chose the Indiana Pacers.

They made it to the Eastern Conference Finals and need to keep that momentum going to prove that this year’s success wasn’t just a fluke.

Then, he has the Los Angeles Lakers.

LeBron James’ team just hired JJ Redick, who will be heavily scrutinized from day one, and who’ll have to lead this less-than-talented roster to championship contention.

At No. 3, he chose the Golden State Warriors.

This will be a make-or-break offseason for the Dubs, who have to make a decision regarding Klay Thompson and Chris Paul and put more talent around Stephen Curry.

Then, he chose the New Orleans Pelicans.

The Pelicans have constantly underachieved because of injuries, and they might have to make a tough decision regarding Brandon Ingram and/or Zion Williamson.

Finally, at No. 1, he chose the Philadelphia 76ers.

For the first time in years, the Sixers are stacked with picks and draft capital, so the timing is perfect for Daryl Morey to add another star next to Tyrese Maxey and Joel Embiid.
