Josh Giddey’s time with the Oklahoma City Thunder has come to an end.
After three seasons with OKC, it was recently announced that Giddey had been traded to the Chicago Bulls in exchange for Alex Caruso.
This marks the end of a promising but complicated era in Giddey’s young career and he wanted to give thanks to the city and the fanbase that supported him so much.
“Stuck with me through the very high highs & the very low lows. You guys know the real me,” Giddey said on an Instagram post, per NBACentral.
“I am forever in debt to Oklahoma and no words will do justice to how much the city & the organization mean to me and my family,” Giddey concluded.

Giddey averaged 13.9 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 5.7 assists during his three seasons playing for the Thunder.
He was one of the many promising young players who took the team from mediocrity to greatness.
But lately, Giddey has been the odd man out and his performance during the playoffs was criticized by some.
Certain reports from inside the team said that he was going to be moved to the second unit next season, something Giddey didn’t want.
Instead of fighting with the young star about his role on the team, the Thunder instead decided to trade him and they got a great return for him in the form of Caruso.
Giddey has definitely received a few bad reviews for some of his performances and he has also been the center of some negative headlines.
He is now looking to start a new chapter of his career with the Bulls but it’s clear he will always fondly remember his time with the Thunder.
