Cornerback Marlon Humphrey has been a cornerstone of the Baltimore Ravens’ defense over the last several years, and now, he will be joined by another multi-time Pro Bowler on the other side of the football.
The Ravens added star running back Derrick Henry this offseason in free agency, which led to very high expectations for the team that had the NFL’s best regular-season record last season.
The two were teammates in college while at the University of Alabama, yet Humphrey said he had forgotten just how massive a man Henry is, per Punch Line Podcast.

Humphrey joined the Ravens as a rookie in 2017, and just two seasons later, he made his first of three Pro Bowls while also being named to the All-Pro First Team.
Last season was frustrating for him, as he was limited to 10 games because of a foot injury that he had to have surgery on, and he posted just five passes defended and 26 total tackles (22 solo).
However, he did allow a stellar 46.7 percent completion rate and 64.6 passer rating when the receiver he was guarding was targeted.
Baltimore ranked fourth in scoring and rushing touchdowns, sixth in total yards and first in rushing touchdowns, but even with the NFL’s top scoring defense, it wasn’t enough to get them to the Super Bowl.
Henry may have slowed down a bit over the last couple of years, but plenty of people view him as the Ravens’ final piece of the puzzle.
