Austin Reaves has become a crucial part of the Los Angeles Lakers over the last several seasons and is a fan favorite beloved by millions.

But the NBA is a business and there is always a chance that Reaves could be sent packing to a new team.

However, there is one team he definitely doesn’t want to play for: the Detroit Pistons.

A video shared by Tristan on Twitter shows Reaves at a recent golf tournament.

When a nearby fan said, “We need you on the Pistons, Austin,” Reaves had a quick response.

“I’m not going to Detroit,” he plainly stated.

The Pistons might be off the table for Reaves but there is still a chance that he moves from the Lakers in the future.

However, his place in Los Angeles has felt more and more secure recently.

Reaves isn’t just well-liked by Lakers fans, but he’s also a great star who is considered the third-best player on the team by some.

He produced 15.9 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 5.5 assists in 2023–24 and worked his way back into the starting lineup after spending some time in the second unit.

The chances are high that the Lakers will make some changes to their roster this summer and commit to at least a few trades.

Reaves is reportedly wanted by multiple teams and it’s likely that his name will be featured in numerous trade rumors.

However, many reports have said that LA’s front office is growing more and more determined to keep Reaves and sees him as nearly untouchable in any potential deals.

That means he could remain a core part of the Lakers in the future.

But if he does leave the Lakers, Reaves definitely doesn’t want to move to the Pistons.
