Moreover, this shortcoming could only mold and shape Luka Doncic’s character, just like it happened with Dirk Nowitzki before him.
The Mavericks proved that they weren’t going to be punked or swept, and let the Boston Celtics know that they would have to work very hard if they wanted to beat them.
With that in mind, Celtics legend Bob Cousy raved about Doncic and talked about how difficult it’ll be for any team to contain him.
Talking on SiriusXM NBA Radio, the Hall of Famer point guard jokingly stated that Doncic looked like a truck driver, yet he was impossible to shut down.

He stated that Doncic would get his points regardless, so the Celtics would have to do a better job of keeping his supporting cast in check.
Doncic is a flawless offensive player.
He can make plays for others, and he can knock down shots from all three levels.
Despite his seeming lack of speed and athleticism, he can easily blow by any opponent, and he knows how to use his size and big frame to get to his spots with ease.
Of course, his character and defense are still a work in progress and might be the only things holding him back, as well as his questionable shape.
But once he figures that out, the rest of the league will be in some serious trouble.
