It is a new era in the nation’s capital.

The Washington Commanders are entering 2024 with a new ownership group, a new head coach and a new quarterback.

Nobody quite knows how the season will turn out for this team, but they can try and guess.

NFL Network’s Adam Rank recently tried to predict the record of the 2024 Commanders.

“Too many unknowns here. What’s going to happen on the defensive side of the football? Are they going to be trading away players? This team does have an opportunity to surprise but right now, the way I look at it, give me six wins for the Washington Commanders,” Rank stated.

Rank does have the team going 3-3 within the NFC East but a 3-8 record the rest of the way.

They will face good teams like the Bengals, Eagles (twice), Ravens, Browns, Cowboys (twice), as well as quality teams on paper in the Falcons and Steelers.

A 6-11 record for a team filled with all kinds of veterans and rookies in the beginning of a new era isn’t a total stunner.

This team needs to figure out how to win football games.

With young Jayden Daniels at quarterback, this team can only get better with experience.

They did add key veterans on both sides of the ball, including running back Austin Ekeler, tight end Zach Ertz, and linebacker Bobby Wagner.

At the very least, they should be competitive.

This could be a very difficult season but should lay the groundwork for a bright future in Washington.
