The Boston Celtics are just one win away from hanging their 18th championship banner, which would be a historic moment for the franchise.

If they win, it’ll be because of several stars, including Jrue Holiday.

Holiday has been so good during his first season with the Celtics that some people are saying the Milwaukee Bucks, who gave him up last summer, handed Boston a championship.

Draymond Green spoke about this on the latest episode of his show, via NBACentral, and said that the Bucks should have done more to keep Holiday.

Holiday was doing terrific things with Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks over the last few years.

But when the Bucks got a chance to land Damian Lillard last summer, they put together a massive package that included Holiday.

So he was shipped off to the Portland Trail Blazers and then the Celtics just days later.

Green, and many others, believe this was a big mistake on Milwaukee’s part.

Holiday is a versatile player who can both shoot well and defend too.

And he can lock down and minimize players of all sizes, even if they are much bigger than him.

Some people believe that the Bucks were too enchanted by the idea of getting Lillard and made mistakes because of that.

That led to them getting rid of one of their best players and strongest defenders.

All season long, the Bucks were criticized for their defensive woes.

Meanwhile, the Celtics have been praised for how well they shut down their opponents.

Plus, the Celtics are knocking at the door of another championship, while the Bucks were eliminated in the first round.

It definitely looks like one team got better because of last summer’s trade of Holiday.
