The Boston Celtics will attempt to secure a 3-0 lead in the NBA Finals on Wednesday night, which would put them on the verge of sending the Dallas Mavericks home and earning their 18th championship.

However, they may be playing without Kristaps Porzingis, who suffered a “rare” injury in the last game and is questionable for Game 3.

Speaking on “Undisputed,” Skip Bayless said that he feels the Mavericks have a better chance of winning if Porzingis is on the bench.

He thinks the Celtics’ hopes won’t be completely dashed, but he believes Porzingis adds an extra boost that is needed.

Porzingis’ latest injury comes just days after he returned to the team after being away for more than a month.

He cannot seem to catch a break with physical problems.

That being said, he isn’t completely ruled out for Game 3 and Bayless thinks that the big man will attempt to suit up and play with his team.

The Celtics are hoping he can play but they also don’t want to rush Porzingis and make his current injury situation even worse.

During these first two games, Porzingis has averaged 16 points and 5 rebounds off the bench.

He was a crucial part of Boston’s Game 1 win and was doing great things during his 23 minutes of Game 2.

With Porzingis, the Celtics are much bigger and are able to get past the Mavericks easier.

It’s not just his size that is impressive, either, as Porzingis has been shooting 60% from the field during the first two games.

Even if Porzingis is out, the Mavericks will have their work cut out for them, especially since most of the team hasn’t been playing well.

If Porzingis doesn’t play and the roster around Luka Doncic steps up, the Mavericks could secure a much-needed Game 3 win.
