Say what you want about Travis Kelce, as there is no middle ground regarding perceptions of the star Kansas City Chiefs tight end.
There are certainly opponents who do not relish lining up opposite the 11-year veteran, and a minority of fans last year vocalized their disenchantment with the media circus that surrounded his relationship with Taylor Swift.
But one rival this weekend emphatically declared his admiration for the three-time Super Bowl champion: Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku.
@JJCoop25 noted that Njoku told reporters gathered at his celebrity softball charity event that Kelce is one of the “purest human beings” he has ever met.

Njoku is hardly a slouch as he comes off career highs in receptions (81), yards (882), and touchdowns (6) for the Browns last season.
He is also a respected member of the Cleveland community, as his weekend charity game demonstrated by bringing out a host of stars from local teams and beyond.
There were many who speculated, especially late last season, that Kelce was closing in on hanging up his cleats after the 2023 campaign.
After all, production was down, and the team appeared to be struggling – at least by Kansas City’s standards.
But he and the squad caught fire on their way to a third title in five seasons, and Kelce was rewarded in April with the largest contract ever signed by a tight end.
A sure way to determine achievement is the respect and admiration one receives from one’s peers, which is apparent in Njoku’s assessment of Kelce.
