Canadian Kyle Nelson will look to keep his win streak alive as he re-enters the octagon in September.
The rising featherweight is set to take on the perennially high-ranked Calvin Kattar at a UFC Fight Night event on Sept. 7, MMA Junkie reported on Friday.
Nelson, 33, is in the midst of a three-fight win streak, his best run in UFC so far, and will get a chance to further his rise up the rankings with a more high-profile bout.
His streak includes wins against Bill Algeo, Fernando Padilla and Blake Bilder. The Huntsville, Ont. native currently has a 16-5-1 pro MMA record.
Kattar, meanwhile, has been dealing with an opposite run of form of late, losing his last three fights and four of five starting with a loss to Max Holloway in 2021. He currently holds a 23-8-0 record in pro MMA.
His last fight came against former Bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling at UFC 300. It was his first time back in the octagon after suffering a knee injury in 2022.
There are no other fights announced as of yet for the Fight Night card on Sept. 7.
