This year’s incoming draft class in the NFL is filled with potential-laden quarterbacks, but last year’s draft class was also thought to be promising as well.

Bryce Young was the No. 1 pick in the 2023 draft out of the University of Alabama, while Anthony Richardson and Will Levis rounded out the top-four QB prospects in the minds of many.

Unfortunately, all three struggled as rookies, which has caused some to wonder if they will turn out to be busts or if their 2023 campaigns were merely a necessary rough patch on their pathway to greatness.

The NFL’s official Twitter account asked fans which of the three has the best shot at a breakout 2024 season.

Some were concerned about Young’s modest stature and frame, but the consensus going into last year’s draft and Week 1 of last season was that he was the best all-around QB prospect.

However, he completed just 59.8 percent of his pass attempts and threw almost as many interceptions (10) as touchdown passes (11) with the Carolina Panthers as a rookie.

Richardson is thought to have real potential as a dual-threat quarterback, and although he quickly won the Indianapolis Colts’ starting job, his rookie year was ended after just four games because of a shoulder injury.

Levis was third on the Tennessee Titans’ depth chart going into Week 1, but he became their starter in Week 8, and in nine games, he posted 1,808 passing yards, eight touchdown passes, and a 58.4 percent completion rate.

Meanwhile, signal-caller C.J. Stroud, the No. 2 pick in 2023, took the NFL by storm and already looks like one of the best QBs in the league.

Fans need to be patient with Young, Richardson, and Levis, as plenty of quarterbacks have struggled as rookies, only to go on to make multiple Pro Bowls later on.
