Mike Breen has become a bit of a legend among NBA fans.
He’s been the leading NBA commentator for ABC and ESPN since 2006, and his iconic “bang!” call has become a signature.
Nonetheless, like most of us, he’s not just an NBA fan; he’s quite passionate about other sports as well.
That’s why, when asked about another team or sport he’d like to call games for, he admitted to being a huge New York Mets fan, stating that he would definitely love to call one of their games (via New York Basketball).

Truth be told, that should be a treat to watch and hear.
It might sound or feel kind of forced, but he could definitely call a “bang!” or two, perhaps with a game-winning hit, a huge strikeout, or a home run.
The Mets have been kind of disappointing this season, and that new aura with a star-studded squad didn’t last long.
They’re just 27-35 for the season and no longer look like the World Series contender they aimed to be when Steve Cohen took over as their new owner.
Even so, they have one of the largest and most loyal fan bases in sports.
New York City is one of the ultimate sports towns, but it’s been quite a while since the city last celebrated a major tournament.
The last time a team from the Big Apple went the distance happened in 2012 when the New York Giants beat the New England Patriots.
