Weeks ago, star wide receiver Stefon Diggs was traded by the Buffalo Bills to the Houston Texans, and the trade came after months of rumors that he was unhappy with the Bills.

There was speculation that his unhappiness had to do with Bills quarterback Josh Allen and that the two had a rift.

However, Diggs had some very good things to say about Allen in his first public comments since being traded to Houston, per ProFootballTalk.

“When I got to Buffalo, Josh was and still is my guy,” Diggs said. “People don’t really understand what it’s like to be out there. He really embraced me. We spent a lot of time together, and I probably wouldn’t be right here if it wasn’t for him.”

Diggs spent his first five seasons with the Minnesota Vikings, but after he was traded to Buffalo in 2020, he took his game to the next level.

In his four seasons with Buffalo, he made the Pro Bowl each year, went over the 1,400-yard mark twice, and led the NFL in receiving yards in 2020.

However, in those four seasons, the Bills made it to the AFC Championship Game just once despite boasting one of the league’s more talented rosters.

In Houston, Diggs is now on a roster that looks absolutely stacked, at least on offense.

He is joining two young stud wideouts in Nico Collins and Tank Dell, not to mention quarterback C.J. Stroud, who is coming off a sensational rookie campaign in 2023.

The Texans could very well go very far in the playoffs this winter just two years after finishing with the league’s second-worst record.

At the very least, many feel they’re the favorites to finish first in the AFC South and that they will eventually become Super Bowl contenders if they don’t reach that level in 2024.
