The Atlanta Falcons made one of the most significant moves of the NFL offseason.

After it was made clear that Kirk Cousins would leave the Minnesota Vikings, the Falcons swooped in and locked him down for four years.

Many have said that the Falcons have been a quarterback away from being relevant, and Cousins will have an opportunity to test that theory.

Cousins has many talented skill-position players at his disposal, largely because the Falcons front office has emphasized these positions in recent drafts.

As a recent Yahoo Sports article highlighted, Cousins seems to be bonding with some of his young teammates, including Kyle Pitts.

“He can joke when he wants to, but he’s serious when he needs to be.” Pitts termed Cousins “Superdad,” which might be the most perfect Kirk nickname yet.

This Yahoo Sports article showcases Cousins’ ability to interact with teammates who are nearly a decade younger than him.

Cousins has been generally well-liked during his time in the NFL, and this instant camaraderie with Pitts is a sign that he’s on the right track in Atlanta.

The Falcons have a lot of work to do if they want to be one of the best teams in the NFC, but Cousins seems up to the challenge.

Having Pitts, Drake London, and Bijan Robinson on the same offense will be a great place for him to start.

This “superdad,” as Pitts calls him, just might be able to help turn this Falcons team around over the next few seasons.
