After proving to be a generational talent for the University of Iowa and lighting up the scoreboards on a nightly basis for the Hawkeyes, the thought was that sharpshooter Caitlin Clark would instantly be a superstar on the WNBA level, following getting drafted with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft by the Indiana Fever.
Although Clark has had her struggles early in her career in the WNBA, the 22-year-old has been must-see TV on the professional level, with arenas around the country selling out for her games with the Fever, which has given a considerable boost to the women’s league.
Along with being featured on sports shows on a daily basis, with the large networks paying close attention to everything going on in the WNBA, Clark has really been a draw for the Fever during their home games at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
According to Front Office Sports, the total home attendance at Gainbridge Fieldhouse for Fever games last year was 81,336, and Clark’s arrival has already surpassed that number in only five home games thus far at 82,857, which is impressive, to say the least.

Clearly, Clark is a game-changer for the WNBA as she has made the league this level of relevant for the first time in its history, with seemingly everyone with an interest in basketball chiming in to see what this rookie phenom can do on the hardwood.
Hopefully, for the sake of the league and Clark’s career, the young guard can continue to be a draw for the WNBA and inspire young women to follow in her footsteps.
