Sports fans love to debate each other, especially on social media.

Social media has allowed fans from all over the world to trash-talk one another, arguing over their hottest takes.

One of the most commonly debated topics surrounds the greatest players of all time in every sport, which can tend to get heated at times.

While it can be difficult to nail down the best baseball player of all time, the conversation in the NBA tends to go back and forth between two players: Michael Jordan and LeBron James.

James is the new-era star, while Jordan lit up the league in the 1980s and 1990s.

This generational gap in superstars has caused fans to get up in arms about this topic.

While the conversation has traditionally been split between Jordan and James, Vince Carter recently indicated that Kobe Bryant should also be a part of these debates.

As he told Taylor Rooks via Bleacher Report, “They deserved to be talked about as a trio, not a duo.”

Bryant was also one of the best players in the NBA from the last 20 years, but he isn’t often talked about in the same conversation as James and Jordan.

As Carter pointed out, he had a similar impact on the game, and many young fans and upcoming NBA athletes tried to model their game after Bryant’s.

This “GOAT” conversation has been going on for years, and it will likely continue for the foreseeable future.

Will fans start to include Bryant in these conversations moving forward?
