After beating the Philadelphia Eagles in a hard-fought battle in the Super Bowl, the Kansas City Chiefs came into the 2023 NFL season with high hopes of repeating as Super Bowl champions but didn’t seem to be the same team on the offensive side of the football, which led to a lot of doubts about whether they could go the distance.

Ultimately, the Chiefs proved everyone wrong by struggling through the regular season only to turn it on when it mattered most during the NFL playoffs and beat some of the best teams in the AFC (Miami Dolphins, Buffalo Bills, and Baltimore Ravens) in consecutive games to get back to the Super Bowl to face a very talented San Francisco 49ers squad led by Brock Purdy.

Although it was a tall task to take down Kyle Shanahan’s team in the big game, Patrick Mahomes and company were able to force overtime and come out victorious, becoming the first team since Tom Brady’s New England Patriots to repeat.

With back-to-back titles won, the Chiefs will head into the 2024 NFL season with a chance to do something that no other team has been able to do by being the only franchise to win three consecutive Super Bowl titles.

Apparently, Greg Olsen of FOX Sports believes it is very possible that the Chiefs can make league history next season in order to secure the three-peat, as he thinks only they can stop themselves, via “The Rich Eisen Show.”

“I think the only thing stopping them is them,” Olsen said.

At this point in time, it’s anyone’s guess whether the Chiefs have what it takes to win a third-straight Super Bowl title, but the team did reload offensively and will still be formidable defensively.

Even though a few talented teams, like the 49ers and Ravens, are standing in their way, it remains to be seen if Mahomes and company can go the distance once again.
