Back in the day, Michael Jordan made himself arguably the greatest player in NBA history during his 13 seasons with the Chicago Bulls.
In the 1990s, he led the Bulls to six world championships, and he often seemed invulnerable and invincible throughout that decade.
But these days, some are questioning if he really is the GOAT, and perhaps his tenure in charge of the Charlotte Hornets has hurt his overall basketball legacy just a bit.
Brandon Miller, the No. 2 overall pick in last year’s draft, recalled a workout with the Hornets when he witnessed a rare sight: Jordan air-balling a free throw, per Courtside Buzz.
Brandon Miller tells the story of Michael Jordan airballing a free-throw during Miller’s first workout with the charlotte Hornets:
“Jordan missing a free-throw is crazy. Jordan airballing a free-throw? Crazy.” 😂💀

Jordan air-balling a free throw, even at age 61, seems to be as unlikely an occurrence as a major blizzard hitting North Carolina or the aurora borealis being visible that far south.
He bought a minority stake in the Hornets (then known as the Bobcats) in 2006, and he eventually became a majority owner of the franchise.
Although he recently sold his majority stake, he still retains a minority stake.
During Jordan’s time with the franchise, it has made the playoffs just three times and has never won a single postseason series.
Miller gave Hornets fans some reason for hope by averaging 17.3 points a game this season as a rookie, and the 6-foot-9 forward is thought to have plenty of potential as a defensive standout.
Charlotte has Miller, star guard LaMelo Ball, and forward Miles Bridges to build around, and they will have a new head coach in Charles Lee, a longtime assistant for three different teams, next season.
