Although the 2024 NBA playoffs are currently ongoing, teams are also concurrently working on evaluating prospects ahead of the 2024 NBA Draft.

The draft is one of the busiest times of the year for teams as they sift through hundreds of prospects and bring them in for interviews and workouts.

This year’s class isn’t projected to be very strong as there’s no clear No. 1 prospect like there has been in the recent past.

However, there are still some intriguing players at the top who are expected to develop into quality starters and perhaps even All-Stars if things break right.

Alex Sarr is considered by most analysts and talent evaluators to be the No. 1 overall pick, though other prospects like Zaccharie Risacher are gaining steam during the pre-draft process.

In fact, it sounds like Risacher’s floor is in the top-five as teams picking in that range are interested in him, via Jonathan Givony of ESPN (via Evan Sidery).

A 6-foot-8 forward who’s been playing professional basketball in France, Risacher’s got the physical tools and makeup to develop into a quality 3-and-D wing in the NBA.

Although he’s considered more of a project because of his raw skills, age, and slender frame, Risacher’s got a clean shooting stroke and can play multiple roles offensively.

He’s the kind of gamble that can pay off long-term for a team, though it remains to be seen how high he’ll go in the draft.

With limited star options, a team picking in the top-five could easily convince themselves to take a swing on Risacher.
