Even though his Golden State Warriors are out of the playoffs, Draymond Green’s been getting plenty of airtime as a guest analyst for NBA on TNT.
Green was asked to cover Game 2 between the Minnesota Timberwolves and Dallas Mavericks, a thriller that ended with Luka Doncic sinking a step-back 3-pointer over Rudy Gobert to ice the game.
It was an exciting moment for the Mavericks and a gut-wrenching one for the Timberwolves who now must go on the road and stave off elimination.
Minnesota drew criticism for allowing Doncic to draw Gobert on a switch, though Green took shots at the reigning NBA Defensive Player of the Year for allowing the Dallas star to score so easily.
Green’s comments didn’t go over well with numerous people, including Phoenix Suns announcer Eddie Johnson, who had choice words for the Warriors star via his personal Twitter account.
“You cannot let your jealousy of a man who has 4 DPOY to your 1, cloud your professionalism on national TV as an employed analyst ! A current player ripping another for personal reasons who is in a conference final and you are hired to talk about the game is wrong!” Johnson tweeted.

Johnson has a point that Green should be more objective in his analysis, especially when it comes to a contemporary like Gobert.
Green’s had issues with Gobert for years and he couldn’t help but relish in watching someone like Doncic embarrass him in a crucial playoff game.
It remains to be seen if Green will change his approach, though knowing him he’ll still find ways to get his scalding takes off.
