After tearing his Achilles on the New York Jets’ first offensive series of the season, Aaron Rodgers is hoping to get back onto the field and silence his critics as soon as possible.
When he was traded to the Jets last offseason, the team was suddenly the subject of lots of hype, and a measure of that hype has returned this offseason.
Rodgers spent plenty of time last offseason ingratiating himself to the Tri-state area, and he was spotted at a New York Yankees game on Monday, per Jets Videos on Twitter.

After a dismal 2023 season, the Yankees are playing very good baseball this season, and they’re one of a few rising sports teams in the area as of late.
The New York Knicks finally look like a legitimate power in the NBA, while the New York Rangers are about to battle the Florida Panthers for a spot in the Stanley Cup Finals.
The Jets are hoping to join that group after missing the playoffs for the 14th straight time last season, and they certainly have the talent to do so, at least on paper.
They added free-agent wide receiver Mike Williams to an offense that already included Garrett Wilson and running back Breece Hall while signing free agent Tyron Smith to bolster what was a weak offensive line.
On defense, New York has already been strong, and they expect to win on that side of the football once again.
Of course, if Rodgers, who is 40 years of age, isn’t able to play at a high level, then the Jets likely won’t be going anywhere significant.
