NBA legend Paul Pierce raised a lot of eyebrows this weekend when he gruesomely injured his finger and had surgery to fix it.

Because of social media, Pierce was able to show off pictures of the unfortunate incident and also post updates about his health, but he didn’t get into the specifics of what caused his finger mishap.

On Monday’s “Undisputed,” via Awful Announcing, Pierce explained what happened.

He said he was “crushing it” at the gym when he smashed his finger.

The conversation then devolved into Keyshawn Johnson claiming that Pierce needed to be sedated to get surgery, while the former Boston Celtics star said that wasn’t the case and he drove himself to the hospital.

Regardless of what happened, it was obviously a nasty injury but Pierce will be making a full recovery.

He looked exactly the same as he does every morning on Monday, wearing a nice suit and appearing ready to talk about the weekend’s games.

It’s good that Pierce is healthy because he has recently become a popular part of “Undisputed,” renowned for his excellent opinion and knowledge of the game.

Because of his experience in the NBA, Pierce has a perspective that is completely different.

He is also known for his large personality and his sometimes outlandish comments.

Pierce was injured multiple times during his years playing professional basketball but few of those injuries were as brutal as what happened to his finger a few days ago.

But his appearance on Monday’s “Undisputed” proves that he’s back, on the road to recovery, and also acting like his normal self again.
