The Cleveland Browns saw their 2023 NFL season ravaged by injuries, though that didn’t stop them from somehow making the Wild Card round of the 2024 NFL Playoffs.
Although Cleveland lost to the Houston Texans, the organization should feel good about how it stands during this portion of the offseason.
The Browns should have most of their key pieces fully healthy to begin the year, most notably Deshaun Watson who saw his season end early with a shoulder injury.
Defensively, Myles Garrett is set to lead the way again though he’ll have more help along the edge as Ogbo Okoronkwo is projected to be ready to go after dealing with a pec injury last season.
When healthy, Okoronkwo is a solid presence along the defensive line and he set a lofty goal for himself via Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston.
“#Browns defensive end Ogbo Okoronkwo @DICKS #NFL panel on mental health awareness said he has made full recovery from pectoral injury he dealt with last season and has set a goal of double digit sacks for 2024. @AliefTaylor_FB grad emphasized he feels great,” Wilson reported.

Okoronkwo got his start in the NFL with the Los Angeles Rams whom he spent three seasons with before playing for a year with the Texans.
The defensive end then moved to Cleveland where he appeared in 14 games and recorded 4.5 sacks.
Getting to at least 10 sacks is a tall order for any player, especially for someone like Okoronkwo who might not get to play every down.
However, if he can get close to that number then the Browns should be in good shape.
