The second-round playoff series between the defending NBA champion Denver Nuggets and the upstart Minnesota Timberwolves has turned out to be one of the best series of the postseason thus far, with neither team willing to go home early.
After getting the best of Nikola Jokic and company in the first two games in Denver, the defending champions bounced back with a vengeance, winning the next three games in a row before losing in epic fashion in Game 6 in Minneapolis, setting up a Game 7 back at Ball Arena with a trip to the Western Conference Finals on the line.
Throughout this series, a few stars have emerged or at least shown how valuable they are to their team, like Jokic, Anthony Edwards, Aaron Gordon, and veteran point guard Mike Conley.
Despite missing time with a sore Achilles, Conley was able to return and provide some stability in the backcourt for the Timberwolves, which former NBA player Antonio Daniels thinks is invaluable for Minnesota, via SiriusXM NBA Radio.

With everything on the line in Game 7 on Sunday in Denver, Conley’s presence in the backcourt will be paramount to the team’s chances of advancing to the next round, as they’ll have to play near-flawless basketball to beat the defending champions in an elimination game.
Fortunately for Minnesota, the Timberwolves have proven they can go toe-to-toe with the Nuggets in this series, which could make for a highly entertaining Game 7.
