The Kansas City Chiefs were able to defy the odds last season and win a second consecutive Super Bowl title with a less-than-stellar receiving corps, with superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes having limited options in the passing game throughout the 2023 campaign.
With the wide receiver position being one of the team’s weaknesses last year, the Chiefs headed into the NFL offseason determined to upgrade the position, and they’ve been able to do just that with a couple of moves they made in free agency and the NFL Draft.
The first move was landing veteran wideout Marquise Brown in free agency, luring him away from the Arizona Cardinals to make him the top option in Kansas City.
Then the Chiefs potentially struck gold in the draft by bringing in lightning-quick rookie wide receiver Xavier Worthy out of the University of Texas, which gives Mahomes another receiver that can torch a defense on every single play.
Unfortunately for Worthy, his NFL career hasn’t gotten off on the right foot, but not by his doing, as he recently had his car stolen at his apartment complex, according to Dov Kleiman.

Fortunately for Worthy, he’s not in trouble like Chiefs teammate Rashee Rice, who is dealing with his fair share of legal troubles off the field during this NFL offseason.
Worthy could have a bright future with the Chiefs if he can turn that exceptional speed into a lethal weapon on the football field in the same way superstar wide receiver Tyreek Hill did in Kansas City.
