Not many NBA players can brag about being a legend for more than one organization.

That’s a privileged position to be in, and Kevin Garnett is one of the few guys who can brag about that.

That’s why he doesn’t want to choose a side in a hypothetical matchup between the Minnesota Timberwolves and Boston Celtics in the NBA Finals.

In the latest edition of his show, he told Paul Pierce that he would be rooting for both teams, joking that he would have a jersey of both teams and that he would celebrate in the locker room after every win (via Bron Got Game).

Garnett stated that he had love for both organizations and that he’s the only player in NBA history who could be in that position.

Of course, he has every right to do so, and he’s a legend for both sides.

Nonetheless, it’s still kind of odd to see that he’s not going to root for the Timberwolves if it comes down to that.

He spent the first part of his career in Minnesota and became a superstar there; they were his team.

He later joined forces with other stars and got the ring he deserved in Boston, where he spent six seasons before a brief stint with the Brooklyn Nets and heading back to Minnesota to retire.

But hey, to each his own, and if he has a torn heart, there’s absolutely nothing he can do but hope that both meet on the biggest stage.
