Patrick Beverley of the Milwaukee Bucks recently found himself in some seriously hot water.
Sitting on the sidelines during the closing moments of the Bucks-Indiana Pacers game, Beverley had a verbal back-and-forth with fans sitting behind him.
Ultimately, Beverley lost his temper and angrily threw a basketball at the fans.
Now, on the latest episode of his show, Beverley apologized for what he did and said it would never happen again.
He did suggest that the fans said some harsh and offensive things, leading to the incident.
But he repeatedly said he won’t let himself act out like that in the future, via NBACentral.

This was a rare apology from Beverley, who has had many dust-ups with people during his years in the NBA.
In fact, just moments after the ball-throwing episode, Beverley created even more controversy when he refused to answer questions from an ESPN reporter because she wasn’t subscribed to his podcast.
All in all, it wasn’t a good night for Beverley or his team.
The league is still looking into Beverley’s actions against the fans and there is a chance that he will face serious repercussions.
If the trash-talk leveled at him really did cross the line, Beverley should have had them thrown out and banned from the arena.
The league has been very good about tossing fans who go too far and say very offensive things.
Instead, Beverley quite literally took matters into his own hands and it may end up costing him multiple games when the new season kicks off.
The fact that Beverley is openly apologizing is a sign that this may be the last time we see him act like this.
