For the last five seasons, Jimmy Butler has been one of the defining figures with the Miami Heat and a major part of the team’s latest chapter.

But all chapters must come to an end and there is a chance that Butler could be leaving the team this summer.

If Butler does depart from Miami, where will he go?

It’s a question the entire NBA world is asking and Bovada, via NBACentral, has a few possibilities.

The Philadelphia 76ers are the favorites to land Butler, with +200 odds.

Following them are the New Orleans Pelicans with +400, the Brooklyn Nets with +600, the Sacramento Kings with +800, and the San Antonio Spurs with +1200.

There was a time when the thought of Butler leaving the Heat was far-fetched and nearly impossible to believe.

But times have changed in Miami, and the team seems to be contemplating some big changes.

After their most disappointing postseason in years, the Heat have decisions to make.

Butler and his management are angling to get a new contract extension from the Heat but both sides haven’t been able to work something out.

The front office might decide that their time with Butler has come to an end and won’t offer him another extension.

If that happened, Butler could be moving.

Of course, he already briefly played for the 76ers back in the 2018–19 season.

He wasn’t there for very long and it was his last stop before heading down to the Heat.

The Sixers have changed a lot since then and Butler would be returning to a team that is wildly different, and more successful.

Could he be the missing piece that pushes Philadelphia into postseason glory?
