Just months after trading away franchise quarterback Aaron Rodgers, the Green Bay Packers finished the 2023 season with a surge and advanced past the wild-card round of the playoffs.
It has led to plenty of optimism for their immediate future and the prospects of Jordan Love, who has replaced Rodgers under center.
Head coach Matt LaFleur was seen with his arm in a sling during this year’s NFL draft, and naturally, everyone was wondering what happened to him.
Per Rob Demovsky, LaFleur explained that he had gotten “into a little fight with the bench press. … And lost.”

The Packers have a promising cast on offense, which is perhaps why six of their draft picks this year were used on defensive players.
They used their first-round pick, which was No. 25 overall, on Jordan Morgan, an offensive lineman who received All-Pac-12 first-team honors last season as a member of the University of Arizona Wildcats.
LaFleur has been Green Bay’s head coach since the 2019 season, and in each of his first three years at the helm of the iconic franchise, it won 13 games.
He received some criticism when the Packers lost back-to-back NFC Championship Games, particularly when it fell in a close NFC title game contest to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 2020 season.
But he is now presiding over a young, up-and-coming team that many around the NFL are high on, and the future is looking bright for him and the franchise as a whole, even though the rest of the NFC North has just gotten a lot more competitive.
