The fifth-oldest player in the NBA isn’t ready to talk about his playing future just yet.

Kyle Lowry and the Philadelphia 76ers were eliminated on Thursday night by the New York Knicks, and the Toronto Raptors legend declined to talk about his plans for next season.

“We just lost, so I’m not even thinking about anything but trying to figure out how to get some sleep tonight,” Lowry said post-game to CBS’s James Herbert.

At 38 years and 39 days old, Lowry is the fifth-oldest active NBA player, younger than only Taj Gibson, Chris Paul, P.J. Tucker and LeBron James.

The Villanova product signed a one-year, $2.8 million deal with the 76ers in February after he was bought out by the Charlotte Hornets. In 23 regular-season games with Philadelphia, Lowry averaged 8.1 points, 3.2 rebounds and 4.2 assists.

The deal reunited Lowry with ex-Raptors coach Nick Nurse and also allowed Lowry to play for his hometown 76ers for the first time in his career.

It also allowed the veteran guard to play with 76ers stars Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey, which he was very happy about.

“As a guy who’s been in the league a long time, I was so happy I got the opportunity to play with these guys and be around them,” Lowry told Hebert.

Earlier this week, Lowry did hint that he was far from done with his career, telling NBA reporter Marc Spears that he was proud to be one of the older players in the league with legends like James.

“I told LeBron that we have to keep holding it down for the old folks,” Lowry said to Spears. “That is dope to be able to still give, play and represent for the guys. I’ve played in three decades now.”

Only time will tell if this latest playoff elimination changes his mind.
